This vest uses Level IIIA (3)A Ballistic Technology the carrier is made with a trauma plate pocket front and back that can hold a 5x8 or 8x10 plate 

Size 48R, comes with 1 5X8 soft trauma insert and 2 8X10 STP trauma plates.

VEST IS SOLD

The vest is not like older body armor, stiff and uncomfortable, it is super light weight and allows the wearer to move freely and stay cool on hot days. To clean the vest inserts, just use a damp cloth and a little soap. The vest complies with NIJ Standards.
